How to add contacts into the system
Your “contacts” are anyone who you want to send review requests to. As soon as you add a contact (and assigned them to a review profile), the system will add them to the review request campaign for that profile and they'll start receiving review request messages.
There are a few different ways to add contacts:
Automatic ways to add contacts:
- Integrate with any app using Zapier (coming soon)
- Integrate using our API (coming soon)
Manual ways to add contacts:
- Click the “+” icon (to the right of the search bar) at the top of any page
- On the Contacts page click the button that says “New Contact”
- On the Reviews page click the button that says “Add Contacts to Review Campaigns”
- In Settings > Review Settings > Review Profiles click the “Campaign Recipients” button for any review profile, then click the “Add Contacts” button
If you’re manually adding your contacts you have a few different options for how to add them depending on which of the above methods you use. You can:
Add contacts one at a time
Complete the form. The Contact Name is required, as is their Email Address and/or Phone Number. Be sure to also select a Review Profile to add them to so they start receiving review request messages. Optionally you can add Contact Tags and set a Time Zone for them.
Upload contacts in bulk via spreadsheet
When you add contacts via spreadsheet, the system will walk you through the steps including selecting which Review Profile to add them to and making sure your file data looks good before importing it. Be sure to download and use the template spreadsheet in the first step to make it easy:

If you already have contacts in the system and you want to add (or re-add) them to a review request campaign, click the checkbox to the left of their name. On the right side you'll see some options. Select "Add to" and select the review profile's campaign that you want to add these contacts to:
Alternatively, if you select to add contacts to a campaign from the Reviews page or the Review Profile Settings page then you'll be taken to the Contacts page to select your contacts. Click the checkbox to the left of the name of any contacts you want to add to the review request campaign, then click the "Add to campaigns" button that appears on the right side of the page.

As soon as you add a contact into the system they will be added to the review request campaign for the review profile you selected (unless you chose to “exclude” them from the campaign, in which case they will not be added to it).
A few important points:
- A contact name and either email address or phone number is required.
- If you include both email address & phone number in a contact record and you have both email & text message templates active in your review campaign settings then the contact will receive both email & text messages. If you only want a contact to receive one type of message (for example email only) then only include that type of contact information when you add the contact into the system.
- The system won’t allow you to add contacts within the Frequency Restriction period (as set in your Review Profile Settings > Campaign Settings). If you want to remove this protection then you can reduce your Frequency Restriction settings for the review profile(s) that you want to add contacts to.
