How to customize your "from" email address
The default "from" email address is yourcompanyname@rs.reputationstacker.com, but you can change it to an email address on your own domain (for example: info@yourcompany.com).
To do this, navigate to Settings > Review Settings > Review Profiles, and in the "Edit Review Campaign" column click the pencil icon for the applicable review profile.
This will take you to the review campaign settings. In the upper left, in the "Send Messages From" section, click the pencil icon:
This will open a modal with your email & phone settings:
WARNING: Do NOT enter a "From Email" without generating DNS records, installing them with your domain host, and checking that they work. If you enter a "From Email" but do not correctly install the DNS records then your emails will not get delivered.
Also, using your own "from" email address will not work for free email accounts (Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc). It will only work if you have access to your domain host and can add DNS records. If you don't know how to do this, just enter a "From Name" and leave "From Email" blank. The emails that your contacts receive will still show as coming from your name (just not your email address), and if you enter a "Reply-to Email" then if any of your contacts replies you will receive the reply.
If you do have access to your domain host and can add DNS records...
Enter an email address into the "From Email" field and click the "Generate DNS Records" button. A modal will appear that contains some DNS records and instructions:
Follow the instructions to install the DNS records with your domain host and verify that they have been installed. After you've clicked the "Verify" button you'll be returned to the main email & phone settings modal.
If our system is unable to find your DNS records installed with your domain host then you'll see a failure message:
However this doesn't necessarily mean that your DNS records are installed incorrectly, as DNS changes on some hosts may take up to 24 hours to apply. So if you don't see a confirmation message immediately, wait a bit longer and then click the "Check DNS" button.
Also note that if your domain host uses proxies with their DNS records (like Cloudflare does), you'll want to make sure that these are turned off before checking your DNS records in ReputationStacker.
If our system is able to find your DNS records installed with your domain host then you'll see an affirmative message:
Now emails that your contacts receive will show as coming from your email address at your domain.
